Minister Diane Finley announces Government of Canada support for the Ruthven Collection – Great War Artifacts project

The Honourable Diane Finley, Member of Parliament for Haldimand–Norfolk, today announced Government of Canada funding for a booklet that will display a collection of artifacts to commemorate and honour the service and sacrifices of Canada’s First World War Veterans. Ms. Finley made the announcement on behalf of the Honourable Julian Fantino, Minister of Veterans Affairs.
Presented by the Ruthven Park National Historic Site through the Lower Grand River Land Trust Incorporated, The Ruthven Collection – Great War Artifacts booklet will include high-quality photographs, short essays by historians as well as a story about the Ruthven connection to the First World War. The booklet will present the collection in its entirety for the first time ever.
