Local start-up IT company looking to expand into new markets

Elandas Inc., a local Saint John IT start-up company, has hired marketing expertise and is pursuing activities to expand into new markets thanks to support from the Government of Canada.
Rodney Weston, Member of Parliament for Saint John, on behalf of the Honourable Rob Moore, Minister of State (Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency), and Ryan Roberts, President of Elandas, made the announcement today.
This project will help the company market its web-based product globally.
The Government of Canada, through ACOA’s Business Development Program, is providing a repayable contribution of $176,973 towards this initiative, while Elandas is investing $58,991 in the project.

- Currently, the company’s clients include U.S. pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. Key customers are Johnson & Johnson Health Care Systems, Lifescan, Janssen Pharmaceuticals and Forest Pharmaceutical.
- As announced in Economic Action Plan 2014, the Government of Canada, through ACOA, will contribute $450 million over the next five years to innovation projects in Atlantic Canada.
