Québec, October 20, 2014
The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, joins Patrick Huot, Member of the National Assembly for Vanier-Les Rivières and Deputy Government Whip, acting on behalf of Pierre Moreau, Quebec Minister of Municipal Affairs and Land Occupancy, in highlighting on the occasion of today’s official opening of the Lebourgneuf community centre in Québec that $5,333,332 in joint government funding was committed for the facility’s $8 million expansion under the Large Urban Centres component of the Building Canada Fund - Quebec.
“By funding the Lebourgneuf community centre expansion project, our government is helping improve the quality of life in our communities. I want to congratulate everyone who played a part, directly or indirectly, in bringing this project to fruition,” said Minister Denis Lebel.
“The Government of Quebec is proud to celebrate the completion of work on the Lebourgneuf community centre. Our support of this important project for the population is testimony of our government’s commitment to improving community infrastructure in a tangible and sustainable way and thus contributing to the health and vitality of our communities. This new community centre will be able to accommodate the sports and recreational service offering in the Les Rivières borough and is well adapted to the needs of the youngsters and families of Lebourgneuf and neighbouring districts,” underscored MNA Patrick Huot.
