GATINEAU, Quebec, October 10, 2014 – Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) wishes to advise motorists that from Friday, October 10, to Tuesday, October 14, the configuration of traffic lanes on the Macdonald-Cartier Bridge will be modified due to work on the Ottawa-bound lanes.
The following lane configurations will take place:
- Friday 8 p.m. to Saturday 10 a.m.—one Ottawa‑bound lane and two Gatineau‑bound lanes will be open;
- Saturday 10 a.m. to Monday 8 p.m.—two Ottawa‑bound lanes and two Gatineau‑bound lanes will be open;
- Monday 8 p.m. to Tuesday 5 a.m.—one Ottawa‑bound lane and two Gatineau-bound lanes will be open;
- Tuesday 5 a.m.—return to configuration described in July 18 public notice.
The Gatineau-bound sidewalk will be open to pedestrians and cyclists throughout this period.
The schedule may change due to weather conditions.
PWGSC encourages users to exercise caution when travelling in the construction zone and thanks them for their patience.
