Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz announced today the appointment of Jane Halford to the Farm Credit Canada (FCC) board of directors. Ms. Halford's appointment is for a three-year term effective December 15, 2014. Biographical notes are attached.

Jane Halford has held various leadership and advisory positions over her career, which has focussed on creating and implementing strategic results and strengthening relationships with key stakeholders. From 2003 to 2005 she worked for the Institute of Chartered Accounts of Alberta as the Director of Practice Review, and as Executive Director of the Chartered Accountants' Education Foundation from 2006-2013. She served as the Chief Executive Officer for the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta from 2005-2013, and was its Registrar from 2005-2011. Most recently, Ms. Halford helped co-found Bolt Transition – a firm specializing in leadership transition. She is also currently President of Halford Consulting, Inc.
