Moving forward in the commercialization of innovative transportation technologies

Capitalizing on 40 years of experience in the surface transportation industry, the National Research Council of Canada (NRC) announces its cooperation with Canadian fleet managers from the public transportation, trucking and military sectors to develop innovative technologies and provide engineering solutions to solve ground vehicle fleet challenges.
Fleet Forward 2020 is a seven-year technology development program that will improve vehicle fleet performance by offering leading edge research, technical, and engineering services. Ultimately, the goal of the program is to improve fuel efficiency, reduce repair and maintenance costs, and minimize environmental footprint of fleet vehicles such as fire trucks, ambulances, and police cruisers.
Clients and collaborators will have ready access to NRC's world-class facilities in Ottawa and to a multidisciplinary team of some 100 technologists, engineers and scientists.
