The "Cereal Varieties – 2014 Insured Commercial Acres" report is now available on the Canadian Grain Commission's web site. The report covers Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia and shows the number of insured acres of seeded varieties of wheat, durum, barley, oats, rye and triticale. The report shows total acres of each cereal crop by province. Information for wheat is further broken down by class.
The report is based on data from Manitoba Management Plus Program, Saskatchewan Crop Insurance, Alberta Agricultural Financial Services Corp. and BC Crop Insurance.
