The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs, Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec and President of the Queen's Privy Council for Canada, today announced the appointment of Mr. Paul T. Kefalas as Chairperson of the Board of Directors and the appointment of Mr. Glen P. Carlin as Chief Executive Officer of The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI), each for a term of five years.
Mr. Kefalas has more than 35 years of experience as an engineer and in senior level positions at companies in the power and automation technologies industries. Since 2008, he has been the Chair of JCCBI's Board of Directors.
Since joining JCCBI in 1989, Mr. Carlin has overseen engineering and construction activities on important federal structures under JCCBI's responsibility. He has held the position of Chief Engineer, General Manager and Chief Executive Officer over the past two decades.
"I am very pleased that Mr. Kefalas and Mr. Carlin will continue to bring their extensive experience with major bridges and road infrastructure to The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated Board of Directors. They will play an essential role in the coming years as JCCBI moves forward with significant work on federal infrastructure assets in Montreal, including the existing Champlain Bridge."
