Improvements will increase the company’s efficiency

Arbec Forest Products Inc. will improve its Miramichi plant, thanks to investments by the Government of Canada and the Province of New Brunswick.
Tilly O’Neill Gordon, Member of Parliament for Miramichi, on behalf of the Honourable Rob Moore, Minister of State (Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency), and Hon. Bill Fraser, Minister of Tourism, Heritage and Culture and Minister responsible for the Northern and Miramichi Funds, joined Arbec Forest Products officials to make the announcement today.
The Government of Canada, through ACOA’s Business Development Program, is investing $265,500, while the Province of New Brunswick is investing $100,000, and Arbec Forest Products Inc. is contributing $165,500 toward this initiative. Funding will allow Arbec to purchase an automated bundle wrapper and undertake improvements to the surface area around the rail lines to allow for more efficient product loading.
