Today, at the 2014 Best Defence Conference in London, Ontario, the Honourable Diane Finley, Minister of Public Works and Government Services and Regional Minister for Southwestern Ontario, delivered a keynote address that highlighted the government’s efforts to support job creation and economic growth by improving defence procurement.
During her address, Minister Finley pointed to the significant progress the government is making on implementing the Defence Procurement Strategy and talked about the Build In Canada Innovation Program (BCIP), which now includes a military component.
The Minister underlined that the Harper Government is committed to working with industry to provide the men and women in uniform the equipment they need to do their jobs, while ensuring the best deal for Canadian taxpayers.
