CFB BORDEN – The Honourable Kellie Leitch, M.P. for Simcoe-Grey (Ontario), Minister of Labour and Minister of Status of Women, on behalf of the Honourable Rob Nicholson, P.C., Q.C., M.P. for Niagara Falls, Minister of National Defence, today visited the construction sites of a new Health Services Centre, a new Royal Canadian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers School, and toured the recently completed headquarters for the Canadian Forces Recruiting Group (CFRG) at Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Borden. These projects represent a total investment of approximately $132 million in infrastructure at CFB Borden and the creation of approximately 274 jobs for the local community.
“Investing in the health and development of our men and women in uniform is a top priority for our Government. These important infrastructure products will ensure that Members receive improved services and training. This is good news for CFB Borden and good news for our Members.”
