Canadians to join South Korea in remembering Veterans of the Korean War at Turn to Busan service

Today, on behalf of the Honourable Julian Fantino, Minister of Veterans Affairs, Pierre Lemieux, Member of Parliament for Glengarry–Prescott–Russell, will join His Excellency Hee-yong Cho, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea in Canada, His Worship Jim Watson, Mayor of Ottawa, and local Veterans at a commemorative wreath-laying ceremony, known as Turn to Busan, held at the Ottawa City Hall to pay tribute to the more than 26,000 Canadians who served in the Korean War.
For the eighth consecutive year, the commemorative ceremony will be held concurrently with a Remembrance Day ceremony at the United Nations Memorial Cemetery in Busan, Republic of Korea.
