Minister Leitch congratulates parties on reaching a new agreement for employees at First Air
November 4, 2014 – Ottawa, Ontario – Employment and Social Development
Today, the Honourable Dr. K. Kellie Leitch, Minister of Labour and Minister of Status of Women, congratulated Bradley Air Services Limited, operating as First Air, and the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) on reaching a new collective agreement for all employees, including cabin personnel and flight attendants. Their previous collective agreement expired on March 31, 2014.
The agreement was reached with assistance from the Labour Program’s Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service, which provides dispute resolution and dispute prevention assistance to trade unions and employers under the Canada Labour Code.
