Prime Minister Stephen Harper today announced the following change in the senior ranks of the Public Service:
Jody Thomas, currently Special Advisor to the Deputy Secretary to the Cabinet (Operations), Privy Council Office, becomes Commissioner of the Canadian Coast Guard, effective January 1, 2015.
The Prime Minister took the opportunity to congratulate Marc Grégoire, Commissioner of the Canadian Coast Guard, on his upcoming retirement from the Public Service and to thank him for his many achievements and service to Canadians during his 31-year career.
