Member of Parliament Ted Falk announces funding for commemorative project

Ted Falk, Member of Parliament for Provencher, today announced Government of Canada funding to the Village of St-Pierre-Jolys in support of their 2014 Remembrance Day activities. MP Falk made the announcement on behalf of the Honourable Julian Fantino, Minister of Veterans Affairs.
In the lead up to Remembrance Day, students from three St-Pierre-Jolys schools will research the history of local Veterans who will be featured at the ceremony with a display of commemorative portraits. On November 11, students will take part in their community’s annual ceremony by greeting guests, providing musical accompaniment and reciting poetry. Approximately 400 people are expected to attend, including Veterans and youth.
