Ottawa, November 25, 2014 – Following the tabling of the 2014 fall report of the Auditor General of Canada, the Honourable Christian Paradis, Minister of International Development and La Francophonie, made the following statement:
“Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada thanks the Auditor General for his work. The delivery of development and humanitarian assistance is an important expression of Canadian values, and this report confirms that Canada remains at the forefront when it comes to delivering assistance abroad.
“As Canada is committed to responding to the needs of crisis-affected people in a timely and needs-based way, we welcome all recommendations on how to do so in an effective and efficient manner.”
