December 19, 2014 - Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird today issued the following statement:
“We stand firmly with the United States and other allies against those who seek to thwart democracy and freedom of speech and who wish to limit our freedoms and values through cyber-attacks and other nefarious activities.
“This is a sober reminder of the need to strengthen cyber-security in both the private and public sectors.
“We are concerned at the findings of the U.S. investigation, which seem to provide further evidence of North Korea’s role.
“Canada continues to work closely with the United States and other like-minded partners to enhance both national and international cyber-security.”
