Federal-provincial investment of $13.18 million
December 12, 2014 – Drummondville, Quebec – Infrastructure Canada
President of the Treasury Board, the Honourable Tony Clement, on behalf of the Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, the Honourable Denis Lebel, and Member of the National Assembly for Maskinongé, Marc H. Plante, on behalf of Quebec’s Minister of Municipal Affairs and Land Occupancy, Pierre Moreau, participated in a site visit today of the new Drummondville Exhibition Centre, which is expected to be completed early in the new year. They were accompanied by Mayor of Drummondville, Alexandre Cusson, and Director General of the Drummondville Economic Development Authority, Martin Dupont.
Minister Clement and Mr. Plante took the occasion to recall the collaboration of the governments of Canada and Quebec in making the project possible. Through the Major Infrastructure Component of the Building Canada Fund, government assistance for the project will amount to $13.18 million.

In hosting numerous conferences, meetings and commercial exhibitions each year, this facility will play an extremely important role in promoting the development of businesses and tourism in the Drummondville area."
