Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz announced today the appointment of Chantelle Donahue to the Farm Products Council of Canada (FPCC). Ms. Donahue's appointment to the Council is for a three-year term effective immediately. Biographical notes are attached.

Chantelle Donahue is from Biggar, Saskatchewan where she is co-owner of Family Grain and Oilseed farm. She is also Vice-President of Corporate Affairs for Cargill, Limited. Ms. Donahue currently sits on a number of agricultural councils and associations. She is presently Chair of the Canada Grains Council and the Western Grain Elevator Association Management Committee. She is also Co-Chair of the Agriculture and AgriFood Canada Grains Roundtable and, Canadian Roundtable for Sustainable Crops, and Vice-Chair for the Barley Council of Canada. Ms. Donahue sits on Boards for Cereals Canada, Malting Industry Association of Canada, the Canadian National Millers Association, and Ag-West Bio Inc. She is also a member of the Canada Meat Council Beef Committee, the steering committee for the Roundtable for Sustainable Beef and a representative on the Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada Beef Value Chain Round Table. Recently, she was Director for the Canadian Agri-Food Trade Alliance. Ms. Donahue holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Cooperative Program) from the University of Alberta.
