At approximately 11:03 p.m. on December 17, 2014 inmate Patricia May McKenzie was apprehended by the Red Deer Detachment of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
This inmate had been unlawfully at large from Edmonton Institution for Women, a multi-level security federal institution, since November 2, 2014.
CSC is conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Ensuring the safety and security of institutions, staff, and public remains the highest priority in the operations of the federal correctional system.
