Starting December 27, The Snowshoer invites history and winter activity lovers to explore the Plains of Abraham’s winter heritage. The National Battlefields Commission offers a range of guided snowshoe outings from December 27 to March 8—a great gift idea for winter fun with family, friends, or your special someone.
Highlights
- Take a guided old-time snowshoe tour. Don your tuque, mittens, arrowhead sash, and snowshoes and join a 20th century snowshoer for a lamp-lit stroll through the park. The Snowshoer is a unique recreational treat that’s sure to delight!

$17/ages 13–64, $15/age 65 and over. Not recommended for children 12 and under.
- For a truly unique date on Valentine’s Day, offer a Charming Snowshoer theme visit . Discover romance every step of the way as The Snowshoer spins tales of amorous intrigue from bygone days.

- During Spring Break, embark on The Snowshoer Family Outing and relive the winters of old with an exciting adventure on snowshoes on the Plains of Abraham. Our storyteller will enchant young and old alike.
In French: March 2 to 6, 2015, 2 p.m. $11 /ages 6–12, $13/age 13 and over.
- Equipment and hot chocolate included. Tour starts at the Plains of Abraham Museum, 835 avenue Wilfrid-Laurier, Level 0, Quebec City.
