Government of Canada invites organizations to submit their applications
December 8, 2014 – Gatineau – Department of Canadian Heritage
As we are approaching the 150th anniversary of Confederation in 2017, the Government of Canada invites organizations to submit an application for funding to organize activities under the 2015 Celebrate Canada program.
Every year, the Government of Canada provides financial support to hundreds of organizations across Canada for activities that take place during the Celebrate Canada period from June 21 to July 1. These activities celebrate National Aboriginal Day on June 21, Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day on June 24, Canadian Multiculturalism Day on June 27 and Canada Day on July 1. Such celebrations offer an opportunity to promote pride and attachments to our country.
“The activities funded under the Celebrate Canada program give all Canadians a chance to gather in communities in order to appreciate and promote the cultural, ethnic, linguistic and geographic diversity that makes our great country so rich. On the road to the 150th anniversary of Confederation in 2017, let’s all celebrate everything that makes Canada strong, proud and free.”
