On behalf of the Board of Directors of Export Development Canada (EDC), President and CEO Benoit Daignault is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Mairead Lavery to Senior Vice-President of Business Development.
Prior to this appointment, Ms. Lavery served as Vice-President of Finance for Bombardier’s Aerospace Group where she was responsible for revenues of more than $9 billion and a team of over 500 people. She joined Bombardier in 1998 and became a member of the company’s senior leadership team in 2007. She held, among other roles, the positions of Vice-President for Strategy, Business Development and Structured Finance, and most recently Vice-President, Transformation and Shared Services.
Prior to joining Bombardier Ms. Lavery worked for eight years at Ernst and Young in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
A native of Northern Ireland, Ms. Lavery earned a degree in Management and Accounting from Queen’s University, Belfast, and is also a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ireland.
