For immediate release
GATINEAU, Quebec, January 16, 2015 — Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) wishes to advise the public of periodic sidewalk closures on the Chaudière Crossing from Monday, January 19, 2015, to Thursday, February 19, 2015. These reductions will affect the west sidewalk (adjacent to Ottawa-bound traffic). The east sidewalk will remain open at all times.
The west sidewalk will be closed periodically. Pedestrians and cyclists will be re-routed to the east sidewalk.
These reductions are necessary to conduct general maintenance on the bridge.
The schedule may change due to weather conditions.
