On January 23, 2015 Jean-Yves Poulin, an inmate at Archambault institution, died at the institutional hospital in Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines.
At the time of his death, Mr. Poulin, 74 years old, had been serving an indeterminate sentence since June 28, 1975 for Non Capital Murder (x2).
The inmate’s next of kin have been notified of his death.
As in all cases involving the death of an inmate, the police and the coroner have been notified, and the Correctional Service of Canada will review the circumstances of the incident.
