Support will help Fredericton IT companies develop and launch innovative technologies

The Honourable Rob Moore, Regional Minister for New Brunswick and Minister of State (Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency), along with iTacit and Scene Sharp Technologies officials, today announced $1 million in support to help both companies develop and launch innovative technologies.
iTacit, a Fredericton-based business consulting and information technology company, will undertake marketing and export activities to launch its newly-developed business analytics solution, which will extend the company’s market position into Customer Relationship Management, Business Intelligence and Social Enterprise Platforms.
Scene Sharp Technologies, a software company with unique expertise in adding colour information to digital imagery through a process known as image fusion, will further develop their Fuze Go image fusion software, a color digitizing imagery software, into cloud computing to respond to industry trends and market intelligence from early software adopters.
The Government of Canada, through ACOA’s Business Development Program, is providing repayable contributions of $500,000 towards each company’s project. iTacit is investing $470,000 in their project and Scene Sharp Technologies is investing $193,120.

- As announced in Economic Action Plan 2014, the Government of Canada, through ACOA, will contribute $450 million over the next five years to innovation projects in Atlantic Canada.
