Minister Goodyear and MP Adler announce important investment in Dalton Pharma Services
January 16, 2015 – Toronto, Ontario – Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario)
Dalton Pharma Services will expand its manufacturing capacity thanks to an investment of up to $2.085 million announced today by FedDev Ontario Minister Gary Goodyear and Member of Parliament for York Centre Mark Adler.
The Harper Government's repayable contribution is through FedDev Ontario's Investing in Business Growth and Productivity initiative, which is aimed at helping established businesses to expand their operations, invest in productivity improvements and compete globally.
Dalton Pharma Services, a contract manufacturing and drug development research company, will use the federal funding to buy equipment and renovate the company's existing facility. This will enable Dalton Pharma Services to manufacture more specialized drug products. The project is expected to create 21 new full-time skilled positions in the life sciences sector during the project and an additional 13 following project completion.
