January 12, 2015 – Town of Sexsmith, Alberta – Western Economic Diversification Canada
The Town of Sexsmith will receive a combined total of $87,666 from the federal and provincial governments toward the expansion and renewal of its sanitary lift station. Chris Warkentin, Member of Parliament for Peace River, on behalf of the Honourable Michelle Rempel, Minister of State for Western Economic Diversification, and Hector Goudreau, Member of the Legislative Assembly for Dunvegan-Central Peace-Notley, today announced the funding through the Canada-Alberta Building Canada Fund – Communities Component program.
This joint funding will enable the Town of Sexsmith to increase the Heritage Park Lift Station’s storage and pumping capacity, as well as purchase equipment needed to monitor wastewater flows. In addition to Sexsmith residents, this expansion project is also expected to provide enhanced wastewater services to businesses and households in the Town through Aquatera Utilities Inc.
