Government of Canada supports the Kawartha Concerts Series

January 7, 2015 – Lindsay, Ontario – Department of Canadian Heritage

The Government of Canada is providing $80,000 over two years to the Lindsay Concert Foundation for their 2015–2016 and 2016–2017 editions of the Kawartha Concert Series. The funding is provided through Canadian Heritage’s Canada Arts Presentation Fund.

Barry Devolin, Member of Parliament (Haliburton–Kawartha Lakes–Brock), made the announcement today on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.

Kawartha Concerts is a division of Lindsay Concert Foundation and has been the primary live performing arts presenter of classical chamber music in the Kawartha Lakes region for over three decades.
Kawartha Concerts presents and engages established and emerging professional artists from Canada and abroad for live performance concerts in venues throughout the Kawartha Lakes region. This classical music presenter also organizes outreach and audience development initiatives that include pre-concert chats, workshops and collaborative youth engagement performances.
