Ontario manufacturing sector workers to benefit from export contracts

The Honourable Ed Fast, Minister of International Trade, today congratulated Honeywell and L3 Wescam on their recent signing of defence contracts.
Honeywell, based in Mississauga, Ontario, signed a US$4.1-million agreement to provide specialized electrical aircraft components to the United States Department of Defense.
L3 Wescam, based in Burlington, Ontario, signed a two-year US$6-million contract to design and manufacture repair and test equipment for MX-20HD electro-optical infrared surveillance systems to the United States Department of Defense in support of the U.S. Navy’s maritime patrol and surveillance efforts.
The sales were facilitated by the Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC), the Government of Canada’s international government-to-government contracting organization.
The contracts were awarded under the Defence Production Sharing Agreement between Canada and the United States.
