January 22, 2015 – Ajax, Ontario– Department of Finance

Minister of State (Finance) Kevin Sorenson today met with representatives of the Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade, the Durham Economic Prosperity Committee and the Canadian Caribbean Cultural Association of Durham, community leaders and academics in a pre-budget roundtable discussion in Ajax. Minister Sorenson was joined by Chris Alexander, Canada’s Citizenship and Immigration Minister and Member of Parliament for Ajax–Pickering.

The pre-budget consultations, which began in November 2014, are allowing Canadians to provide valuable input on how the Government can continue to create jobs, improve growth and help ensure long-term prosperity.

Canadians are also invited to participate through online consultations. The Government is seeking the input of Canadians on five key questions.
