The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) announced today a significant seizure of close to 5 kg of suspected cocaine at the Toronto Pearson International Airport (TPIA).
On February 8, 2015, CBSA officers monitored the offload of baggage arriving on a flight from Saint Maarten and identified one backpack. Upon further inspection of the backpack, officers discovered four bricks containing a substance that field tested positive for suspected cocaine.
The packages of suspected cocaine were turned over to the Peel Regional Police and the investigation is ongoing.
