On February 10, 2015, at 1:10 p.m., William Head Institution, a minimum-security federal institution, was notified that Michael Douglas Sheets escaped during an escorted temporary absence in Victoria, British Columbia.
The police have been notified and Correctional Service Canada (CSC) will continue to work with them to locate the offender as quickly as possible. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Michael Douglas Sheets is asked to contact the police.
Michael Douglas Sheet is 44 years old, measures 5’ 6” in height and weighs 141 lbs. He has a fair complexion, hazel eyes and grey hair. He has several tattoos including a skull and wings, hearts, and a “4 ever” on the right forearm. He is currently serving a sentence of 14 years, two months for Arson and Manslaughter. He has also served sentences for Robbery, Theft under, and Obstruction of a peace officer.
CSC will investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident and is working with police to locate the offender as quickly as possible.
CSC has given the police all information available to help arrest the inmate.
