Ottawa—His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, will meet with Mr. Bill Gates at Rideau Hall, on Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at 11:15 a.m.
“I’m pleased to welcome Mr. Gates to Rideau Hall to discuss matters dealing with Canadian philanthropy. The meeting will be an opportunity to speak about Canada’s commitment and leadership in this area.”
Last spring, during his visit to the West Coast of the United States, the Governor General visited the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation in Seattle to learn more about the philanthropy strategies and approaches. This meeting with Mr. Gates will continue to help foster best practices.
