I am very pleased to congratulate ACTRA Toronto’s 2015 award nominees and winners on their exceptional accomplishments.
The Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television and Radio Artists (ACTRA) Toronto represents over 15,000 professional performers in Canada and helps our outstanding artists in many ways throughout their careers.
I would also like to extend my best wishes to Tantoo Cardinal, who received the 2015 Award of Excellence for her distinguished career of more than 40 years in television and film.
Our Government invests more than $660 million annually in the audiovisual sector through Telefilm Canada, the National Film Board, the Canada Media Fund and tax credit programs.
On behalf of the Government of Canada, I would like to commend ACTRA on the work it does to promote and celebrate artistic excellence.
