February 27, 2015 -The Honourable Christian Paradis, Minister of International Development and La Francophonie, will host the third Canada-World Economic Forum Conference in Toronto on February 28, 2015. The theme for this year is “Creating and Sharing Value through Mineral Development” and will explore issues such as partnership and collaboration in the sector, unlocking investment and benefits, economic diversification, and building human capacity in local communities. This conference will take place in the lead-up to the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) Annual Convention, Trade Show and Investors Exchange, which runs from March 1 to 4, 2015.
Minister Paradis will deliver the opening remarks and will participate in an interactive panel. During his remarks, he will highlight Canada’s leadership in engaging the private sector in development and the importance of public-private partnerships in achieving the post-2015 development goals.
