Government of Canada funding assists York-Sunbury Historical Society

Canadians in New Brunswick will learn more about the contributions of their province to the First World War thanks to an investment of $16,300 from the Government of Canada.
The Honourable Keith Ashfield, Member of Parliament (Fredericton), on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages, announced today that the York-Sunbury Historical Society is receiving funding to create a bilingual travelling exhibit to be displayed in museums and libraries and at public commemoration events throughout New Brunswick.

As we prepare to celebrate Canada’s 150th anniversary in 2017, marking the people, events and battles of the First and Second World Wars will contribute to a deeper understanding of these wars and how they made Canada the strong, proud and free country it is today.”
