Karate Canada receives Government of Canada funding to host international championships in Toronto

The Honourable Bal Gosal, Minister of State (Sport), today announced $70,000 in support for Karate Canada, through Sport Canada’s Hosting Program, to host the XXIX Senior Pan American Karate Championships.
The event is taking place from March 18 to 21, 2015, at the Westin Harbour Castle in Toronto.
“The Year of Sport in Canada is building momentum, and hosting the XXIX Senior Pan American Karate Championships is a great way to get our athletes ready to compete at the Toronto 2015 Pan Am Games this summer. I hope all the competitors and spectators enjoy their time in Toronto, and I wish good luck to all the athletes competing.”
