8 WING/CFB TRENTON, Ont. – Canada’s fifth CC-177 Globemaster will make its inaugural landing in Canada and be officially welcomed into the Royal Canadian Air Force’s fleet by Defence Minister Jason Kenney and Lieutenant-General Yvan Blondin at a ceremony at 8 Wing Trenton on March 30, 2015.
The event will include the landing, media photo opportunity and a tour of the new aircraft.

WHEN: Monday, March 30, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. (EST). Media are requested to meet the Wing Public Affairs Officer at Hanger 1 no later than 11:00 a.m.

Media are requested to confirm attendance by 9:00 a.m. on Monday, March 30, 2015 by emailing Captain Julie Brunet, 8 Wing Public Affairs Officer, at: julie.brunet@forces.gc.ca.
Members of the media are requested to arrive at Hangar 1 using the North side gate (photo identification will be required) so that they may be escorted to the announcement site within the secure facility. The ceremony will take place outside, so media are asked to dress appropriately for the weather.
