GATINEAU, Quebec, March 24, 2015 – Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) wishes to advise motorists of periodic lane reductions on the Chaudière Crossing from Thursday, March 26, to Sunday, March 29, 2015. These reductions will take place between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on weekdays and between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. on weekends. They will affect the Gatineau- and Ottawa-bound lanes. Traffic will be permitted in both directions. One northbound and one southbound lane will remain open at all times.
The west and east sidewalks may be temporarily closed. Pedestrians and cyclists will be re-routed to the opposite sidewalk when required.
These lane reductions are necessary to conduct general maintenance on the bridge.
The schedule may change due to weather conditions.
