Government of Canada supports the Society of the Company of Angels Dance Projects

March 17, 2015 – Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotial – Department of Canadian Heritage

Greg Kerr, Member of Parliament (West Nova), on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages, today announced $7,500 in funding for the Society of the Company of Angels Dance Projects. This funding, provided through the Canada Arts Presentation Fund, is in support of the second edition of the Festival of Dance Annapolis Royal. This contemporary dance festival will take place from August 20 to 23, 2015, at the King’s Theatre in Annapolis Royal. The program includes presentations of contemporary dance by professional artists from Nova Scotia, Ontario and the United States.

Quick Facts

Festival of Dance Annapolis Royal (FODAR) is one of the few professional contemporary dance festivals to be presented in a rural community in Atlantic Canada.
FODAR was launched in 2014 to develop and grow the audience for contemporary dance in Atlantic Canada.
The Company of Angels, based in Annapolis Royal, was founded in 2013 by acclaimed choreographer Randy Glynn.
