March 26, 2015 – Carievale, Saskatchewan – Western Economic Diversification Canada
The Village of Carievale will benefit from new water storage infrastructure thanks to joint federal and provincial funding announced today by Ed Komarnicki, Member of Parliament for Souris—Moose Mountain, on behalf of the Honourable Michelle Rempel, Minister of State for Western Economic Diversification, and the Honourable Jim Reiter, Saskatchewan’s Minister of Government Relations.
The investment will allow the Village to build a water storage reservoir to ensure an adequate water supply for residents and adequate storage for use during an emergency, ensuring that more households in Carievale have access to better quality drinking water.
The Governments of Canada and Saskatchewan are each investing $11,000 through the Communities Component of the Building Canada Fund (BCF-CC), with Carievale contributing the remaining balance of the $33,000 project.
