Fredericton, New Brunswick - Media are invited to attend the public unveiling of recently developed high precision 3D printed models of HMS Erebus, Sir John Franklin’s lead ship, as found last September in the eastern waters of Queen Maud Gulf in the Canadian Arctic.
The high precision models are scaled representatives of HMS Erebus as it currently sits on the seafloor. Models were developed using bathymetric data collected by Fisheries and Oceans Canada’s Canadian Hydrographic Service, and were built in partnership with private companies CARIS and TECTERRA.
