Minister Fantino Announces Support for Defence Infrastructure for the Canadian Armed Forces of 4 Wing Cold Lake

COLD LAKE – The Honourable Julian Fantino, Associate Minister of National Defence today announced support for 4 Wing Cold Lake, to improve and expand critical infrastructure for the Canadian Armed Forces. Through this investment, 4 Wing Cold Lake will see the construction of a new Health Services Centre, to improve the efficiency of health care delivery, as well improvements to military housing, to modernize and repair housing units. Repairs will also be made to the 4 Wing airfield, the home of the Canadian fighter pilot.

Quick Facts

These federal infrastructure investments will build and renew infrastructure across the country, as announced by Prime Minister Harper in November 2014.
As a part of these federal infrastructure investments, the Department of National Defence has received $452 million for the repair and upgrade of Canadian Armed Forces facilities.
The improvements at 4 Wing Cold Lake represent a total investment of approximately $45.7 million in infrastructure.
