Gymnastics Canada receives Government of Canada funding to host International Gymnix 2015
March 5, 2015 – Montréal – Department of Canadian Heritage
The Honourable Bal Gosal, Minister of State (Sport), announced $50,000 in support to Gymnastics Canada, through Sport Canada’s Hosting Program, to host the 24th edition of International Gymnix. This artistic gymnastics competition is being held at the Claude-Robillard Sports Complex in Montréal from March 5 to 8, 2015.
“Our Government is very pleased to support International Gymnix 2015 and to welcome all of the athletes who will be competing in Montréal this weekend. During the Year of Sport in Canada, we celebrate our gymnasts and the thousands of young Canadians who are experiencing the benefits of being active and meeting new friends through the tremendous work of Gymnastics Canada and its network of clubs in communities across Canada. I thank Gymnastics Canada, the local organizing committee and the hundreds of volunteers who are working together to make this international event such a success.”
—The Honourable Bal Gosal, Minister of State (Sport)
“Gymnastics Canada would like to thank Sport Canada for their continued support to Canadian gymnastics programs, events and athletes. Without it, events such as International Gymnix 2015, which provides an outstanding international competition experience to our women’s artistic athletes, would not be possible.”
