Canada helps save lives, alleviate suffering and maintain the dignity of people in developing countries affected by conflict, natural disasters and situations of food insecurity requiring a humanitarian response. Canada supports the appropriate, timely and effective response of international and Canadian humanitarian organizations.
Each year, Canada responds to appeals issued by international and Canadian humanitarian organizations. These appeals outline the planned response to a variety of humanitarian crises and complex emergencies around the world arising from conflict, natural disasters or food insecurity. Today’s announcement is part of Canada’s response to the 2015 humanitarian appeals.
