“On behalf of all Canadians, I would like to extend my sincere congratulations to Khaled Bahah, Yemen’s former ambassador to Canada, on his appointment as the new vice president of Yemen by President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi.
“Canada stands by President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi and Vice President Khaled Bahah, who represent the legitimate government of Yemen.
“Mr. Bahah has been a tireless champion for pluralism, prosperity and the Yemeni people. In these turbulent times, Canada is pleased to support Mr. Bahah as he works toward creating a better and more peaceful future for the Yemeni people.”
