Her Excellency Sharon Johnston to Visit the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA)
Mrs. Johnston will meet with the individuals who have been chosen as the faces of the CMHA 2015 Mental Health Week campaign and hear their personal stories. Mrs. Johnston will also meet with CMHA staff, community members and clients to learn about the important services that are available through the CMHA.
CMHA will be marking its 64th annual Mental Health Week from May 4 to 10, an annual national event designed to encourage people from all walks of life to learn, talk, reflect and engage with others on all issues relating to mental health.
#MyDefinition is a poster campaign designed aimed at ending the stigma of mental illness and raising awareness through the Faces of the Campaign by bringing the community together to engage in conversations about mental health.

The Governor General will deliver the opening address at the 2015 CAPS-I Conference. His address will be followed by a question-and-answer period.
CAPS-I is a non-profit association comprised of 114 publicly-funded school districts/boards. Members offer educational programs in English and/or French for international students from around the globe at various grade levels from elementary through to high school graduation. While studying short or longer term, these international students reside with local Canadian host families.

Accompanied by the Lieutenant Governor of New Brunswick, the Governor General will take part in a discussion with leaders from 21inc. on the subject of our rapidly changing world and the importance of innovation. This discussion will contribute to the preparation and planning for the third edition of the 21inc. Ideas Festival. Under the theme of “100 Ideas for the Next 100 Years”, the festival will be held November 4 to 6, 2015, in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.
The 21 Leaders for the 21st Century, commonly known as 21inc. is an innovative non-profit organization dedicated to fostering entrepreneurial leaders under the age of 40 across Atlantic Canada. They envision a region with the entrepreneurial leadership required to be prosperous, sustainable, and resilient in an interconnected and global 21st century. The organization has graduated close to 200 youth leaders from their programming and has promoted innovation and regional co-operation through its first three editions of the Ideas Festival.

Visit to the Université de Moncton, Shippagan Campus
Following the presentation of the Caring Canadian Award, Their Excellencies will meet with Acadian artists specializing in photography, painting, poetry and stained glass at the “Carrefour de l’apprentissage” and will learn about their works and their ties to the community.
Accompanied by Sid-Ahmed Selouani, Vice-Rector at the Shippigan Campus, Their Excellencies will then visit the multi-purpose fish laboratory to learn about fish research activities.
They will then visit the Laboratoire de recherche en interaction Humain-Système (LARHIS) and the radio frequency identification (RFID) lab, where they will learn more about the innovative partnerships between the university and the public and private sectors in the language industry.
The Shippagan Campus plays a leading role in university education in northeastern New Brunswick. The Université de Moncton offers over 50 programs to students from Shippagan.
