Greg Kerr, Member of Parliament (West Nova), on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages, today announced $19,380 in funding for the Association le Moulin de la Baie Sainte Marie.
In conjunction with the Federal Cultural strategy for the 2015 Pan American and Parapan American Games, the Association le Moulin de la Baie Sainte Marie added a July 9 performance to its 2015–16 programming that features Caribbean artists.
“I am proud that our Government invests in projects that highlight the artistic diversity and cultural strength of communities across Canada. The Association le Moulin de la Baie Sainte Marie will add an international and Caribbean touch that will delight the people in this region.”
– The Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages
“The Baie Sainte Marie region is a place where the Acadian spirit thrives. Our Government is proud to support the efforts of organizations that work hard to ensure that Nova Scotia’s arts, culture and heritage continues to develop and contribute to the quality of this community.”
– Greg Kerr, Member of Parliament (West Nova)
“With the help of this Canadian Heritage funding, the Association Le Moulin de la Baie Sainte-Marie will add a performance to its programming to support the development of the Federal Cultural strategy for the 2015 Pan American and Parapan American Games. The superb show featuring Adonis Puentes and the Voice of Cuba would not have been possible without the help of Canadian Heritage, and we are thankful.”
