Add to the list of events to attend on Prince Edward Island for summer 2015! The Atlantic Canada International Air Show will return to Slemon Park this August. The show was previously hosted on PEI in 2011 and 2012, drawing a large crowd of air show enthusiasts.
The Honourable Gail Shea, Minister of Fisheries and Oceans, on behalf of the Honourable Rob Moore, Minister of State (Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency) and the Honourable Erin O’Toole, Minister of Veterans Affairs,
announced federal support for the 2015 Air Show today.
Upwards of 10,000 people are expected to attend the show, which will feature Canadian military working aircraft such as the Aurora, Hercules, Griffon and Sea King, and will highlight aviation and aerospace as a vibrant industry sector on Prince Edward Island.
Quick Facts:
- The Government of Canada will provide $45,000 for eligible costs associated with the 2015 event through ACOA’s Business Development Program, and $5,000 through Veterans Affairs Canada.
- The Nova Scotia International Air Show Association is a not-for-profit organization focused on spreading awareness of aviation, technology, history and capabilities in Atlantic Canada.
- The 2015 Atlantic Canada International Air Show will take place August 22-23rd at Slemon Park.
